1. Data controller
Budgeting App is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, contact us at support@abdellahessordo.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data: your email address, display name, password (stored only as a hash), date of birth, language and display preferences, and your consent records.
Financial data you enter: pockets, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, loans, possessions, and investments.
Technical data: session information such as device user-agent, IP address, and timestamps needed to secure your account.
3. How we use your data and our legal bases
We use your data to provide the service (performance of a contract), to secure your account and prevent abuse (legitimate interests), to send transactional emails such as verification and security notices (performance of a contract), and to send product updates only where you opted in (consent).
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your interface preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the app, such as transactional email, hosting, and error-monitoring providers, under contracts that require them to protect it.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is erased immediately, except where we are required to keep limited records to comply with legal obligations.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data, and to restrict or object to certain processing. You can download a copy or delete your account directly from Settings → GDPR. You may also contact us to exercise any of these rights.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. In France this is the CNIL (cnil.fr).
9. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords and tokens, scoped access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. Children
The service is intended for adults only and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. We will post the revised version here and update the date above, and we will notify you of material changes.
